Quantum Systems has accelerated a UAV to a record speed of 699 km/h and is going to adapt this solution in anti-aircraft drones

These are the technologies Quantum Systems, which is very actively working to protect the skies of Ukraine, needs to create serial anti-aircraft drones against the Shahed jets. The German company Quantum Systems, which is actively cooperating with Ukraine, announced the establishment of an unofficial speed record for battery-powered aircraft - 699 km/h. This record was set on a specially created Apex Recordhunter drone, and official certification of the record is expected in the near future.
“Developed over the past year, Apex Recordhunter serves as a technological demonstrator of next-generation high-speed systems. It is expected that the innovations developed within the framework of this project will be used to create anti-aircraft drones,” Quantum Systems announced.
Quantum Systems.
On the part of Defense Express, we note that Apex Recordhunter is a record-breaking drone that uses a number of components specially created for it. For example, a subsidiary of Porsche AG, V4Smart GmbH, developed a special battery. It should also be added that this drone did not reach this speed immediately, in particular, a month ago it demonstrated a speed of 650 km/h.
At the same time, the official recognized speed record for drones currently belongs to the Peregreen V4 from Luke and Mike Bell, enthusiasts from South Africa.
But in addition to record drones, Quantum Systems is already implementing its developments in combat drones. In particular, it was announced that the Ukrainian company WIY Drones, which is part of the Quantum Systems Group, plans to set official Ukrainian records in the near future for the maximum speed of an FPV drone with a payload of 0.5 kg on the STRILA Interceptor drone, as well as the maximum speed of an anti-aircraft drone on the SPYS.
It is worth adding that Quantum Systems is working on combining an anti-aircraft drone and a solid-fuel accelerator in the Jäger. This solution allows you to quickly "throw" an anti-aircraft drone to the desired height and give it significant acceleration, which not only saves battery power, but also reduces the time to hit the target.
That is, in general, the combination of solutions for creating high-speed drones, together with the use of solid-fuel accelerators, really looks like a potentially effective response to jet "Shaheeds".
