LOS ANGELES — Sept. 16 — The Truth and Accountability League (TAAL) today announced the formal institutional endorsement of “Second Holy Land” by the prestigious Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. The upcoming landmark documentary film, directed by award-winning investigative journalist and filmmaker Vic Gerami, is recognized by the Center as a vital initiative to document and preserve early Christian antiquity at a moment of profound geopolitical crisis. “Second Holy Land” unearths the last missing chapter from the global Christian narrative: Armenia’s extraordinary foundational role in the development of Christianity, spanning from the first-century arrival of the Apostles Thaddeus and Bartholomew to its rise as the world’s first Christian nation in A.D. 301. Dr. Todd M. Johnson, director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity and co-author of the “World Christian Encyclopedia,” issued the following official statement regarding the endorsement: “Second Holy Land brings much-needed attention to an important and often overlooked dimension of global Christian history. By placing Armenia’s extraordinary Christian heritage within the broader story of Christianity’s development in Asia and the ancient Near East, the film has the potential to deepen public understanding of Christianity as a truly global faith. At a time when many historic Christian communities and sacred sites across the region face profound challenges, documenting and preserving this heritage for future generations is both timely and important.” “We are deeply grateful to Dr. Todd Johnson and the Center for the Study of Global Christianity for this historic endorsement,” said Vic Gerami, director of the film. “Their institutional backing elevates ‘Second Holy Land’ from a cultural defense initiative to an authoritative text for the global community. This validation comes at a critical turning point for the project as we move from pre-production directly into principal photography on the ground in Armenia this November. With the world’s foremost research center confirming the urgency and global significance of our mission, we are fully positioned to break the silence surrounding this cultural genocide and permanently anchor Armenia’s foundational legacy on the world map.” The production serves as an urgent, strategic counter-offensive against an aggressive, well-funded campaign of cultural genocide, historical revisionism, and the systematic demolition of ancient Armenian churches and sanctuaries under hostile occupation. Produced under the tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity structure of TAAL, “Second Holy Land” is currently opening a limited number of Founding Producer positions for visionary individuals and organizations to fund the initial filming block before cameras roll this fall. About the Truth and Accountability League (TAAL):Founded in 2020, TAAL is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to identifying and combating anti-Armenian bigotry, defamation, discrimination, disinformation, and cultural revisionism, while protecting Armenian history, heritage, identity, and truth.
