The security system is vulnerable, and the state is inactive.

Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Armenia and a deputy of the “Hayastan” faction, expressed such an opinion at the “Alpha News” pavilion.

According to the deputy, the incident and the subsequent official response indicate that the Armenian authorities are trying to hide the reality and justify their own inaction.

Ըստ պատգամաւորի՝ տեղի ունեցած միջադէպն ու դրան յաջորդած պաշտօնական արձագանգը վկայում են, որ ՀՀ իշխանութիւնները փորձում են թաքցնել իրականութիւնը եւ արդարացնել սեփական անգործութիւնը։

“The main conclusion is that the citizen of the Republic of Armenia, unfortunately, once again witnessed that the country’s territorial integrity and borders are unprotected. After the incident, the attitude of the authorities and relevant bodies was the same: to hide it in every way, try to justify it and not give people real information. If it were not for the public response that has taken place these days, be sure, they would have already extradited the Azerbaijani and tried to continue the dishonorable policy adopted in recent years,” noted Ishkhan Saghatelyan.

«Գլխաւոր հետեւութիւնն այն է, որ Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան քաղաքացին, դժբախտաբար, եւս մէկ անգամ ականատես եղաւ, որ երկրի տարածքային ամբողջականութիւնն ու սահմաններն անպաշտպան են։ Դէպքից յետոյ իշխանութիւնների եւ համապատասխան մարմինների պահւածքը նոյնն էր՝ ամէն կերպ թաքցնել, փորձել արդարացնել եւ մարդկանց իրական տեղեկատւութիւն չտալ։ Եթէ չլինէր այս օրերին եղած հանրային արձագանգը, վստահ եղէք, հիմա արդէն արտայանձնած կլինէին ադրբեջանցուն եւ կփորձէին շարունակել վերջին տարիներին որդեգրւած անպատիւ քաղաքականութիւնը»,- նշել է Իշխան Սաղաթէլեանը։

The deputy considered it noteworthy that the border violator was neutralized by a local resident with her own forces, which, in his opinion, is a clear proof of the profound absence of the state.

Պատգամաւորը յատկանշական է համարել այն փաստը, որ սահմանախախտին սեփական ուժերով վնասազերծել է տեղի բնակչուհին, ինչը, նրա համոզմամբ, պետութեան խորքային բացակայութեան ցայտուն ապացոյց է․

“A man crossed the border of Armenia, and, in fact, the Armenian woman neutralized that criminal with a kitchen knife to protect her children. This speaks of the profound absence of the state. As for his extradition, these authorities have already extradited Syrian mercenaries and previous Azerbaijani invaders. This criminal, who attacked an Armenian family and tried to shoot a woman and child, is not in the same status as our captives in Azerbaijan. But even if the issue of exchange is considered, our demand should be clear: exclusively in exchange for the return of our captives.”

«Մարդը հատել է Հայաստանի սահմանը, եւ, ըստ էութեան, այդ յանցագործին վնասազերծել է հայ կինը՝ խոհանոցի դանակով՝ իր երեխաներին պաշտպանելու համար։ Սա խօսում է պետութեան խորքային բացակայութեան մասին։ Ինչ վերաբերում է նրան արտայանձնելուն, ապա այս իշխանութիւնները նախկինում արդէն յանձնել են սիրիացի վարձկաններին եւ նախորդ ներխուժած ադրբեջանցիներին։ Այս յանցագործը, որը յարձակւել է հայ ընտանիքի վրայ եւ փորձել կրակել կնոջ ու երեխայի վրայ, նոյն կարգավիճակում չէ, ինչ Ադրբեջանում գտնւող մեր գերիները։ Բայց եթէ նոյնիսկ դիտարկւի փոխանակման հարց, մեր պահանջը պէտք է լինի յստակ՝ բացառապէս մեր գերիների վերադարձի դիմաց»։

Referring to regional security threats and discussions around the Russian military base, Saghatelyan emphasized that the dangers emanating from Turkey and Azerbaijan have not been neutralized, and the weakening of the current security system is fraught with new threats.

Անդրադառնալով տարածաշրջանային անվտանգային սպառնալիքներին եւ ռուսական ռազմաբազայի շուրջ քննարկումներին՝ Սաղաթէլեանն ընդգծել է, որ Թուրքիայից եւ Ադրբեջանից բխող վտանգները չեն չեզոքացւել, իսկ անվտանգային ներկայիս համակարգի թուլացումը յղի է նոր սպառնալիքներով․

“The point of view of these authorities is that they have supposedly normalized relations and Turkey and Azerbaijan are no longer a threat. However, in reality, their problem is not only our territories, but the Armenian identity in general. "By withdrawing the military base, we will have new, very serious security problems, which we do not have the ability and resources to solve at this moment."

«Այս իշխանութիւնների տեսակէտն այն է, թէ իբր յարաբերութիւնները կարգաւորել են, եւ Թուրքիան ու Ադրբեջանն այլեւս սպառնալիք չեն։ Սակայն իրականում նրանց խնդիրը ոչ միայն մեր տարածքներն են, այլ առհասարակ հայկական ինքնութիւնը։ Ռազմաբազան դուրս բերելով՝ մենք անվտանգային նոր, լրջագոյն խնդիրներ ենք ունենալու, որոնք լուծելու հնարաւորութիւն եւ ռեսուրս առնւազն այս պահին չունենք»։
