Pashinyan intends to "establish investigative commission on Church issue”
Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today that “an investigative commission must be established regarding the Church issue, legislative initiatives must be introduced, and the usurpation of the Church must be lifted.” God s faithful flock must fully participate in the governance of the Church. It is the community that decides who becomes a priest; that is our Church s tradition, Pashinyan told reporters.He noted that the Catholicos of All Armenians must step down, and the state will use all available levers to achieve this. Who is he to sit in the Holy of Holies? He is a nobody. As Prime Minister, I will take every possible measure to bring this about, he said.
