BMW has unveiled the 2027 3-Series with a new breath of "Neue Klasse"

The BMW 3-Series has gone through seven generations in half a century, but this version has a different feel. BMW is highlighting this evolutionary change by calling the eighth-generation car the “Neue Klasse.” That was also the name of the model series that not only made BMW the leading brand of sports sedans in the early 1960s but also saved the company from financial collapse. Expectations are high for the new 3-Series.

The 3-Series hasn’t been radically redesigned since the E90 generation was launched in 2006. This time, the design direction for the new G50 was developed by Adrian van Hooydonk. The new 3-Series is significantly different from BMW’s design of recent years. The shark-nose design of the front end of the new 3-Series is reminiscent of the E24 6-Series of the 1970s and 80s, and the proportions of the car are somewhat reminiscent of the short and sporty 2002 model.

One of the main innovations in the cabin is the Panoramic Vision digital system, which displays information on a thin screen located along the base of the windshield. The gasoline versions are built on the updated CLAR II platform. The total power of the system reaches 437 horsepower. Sales of the 2027 BMW 3-Series will begin in the first quarter of 2027, and shortly after that the car will appear in US dealerships.
