A TV series based on the "Fast and Furious" film series will be released

The American streaming service Peacock has confirmed the project to create its first series based on the Fast & Furious film franchise. The creators of the series will be Mike Danielson and Wolf Coleman. One of the main actors of the film series, Vin Diesel, announced the project back in May.

“As you all know, we appreciate these films very much, but over the past decade we have realized that fans want more: they want us to present famous characters and their stories in more detail,” Diesel noted. The premiere of the series is scheduled for 2028.

It is noted that “Fast & Furious” is the longest-running and most profitable franchise of the Universal film studio. The total global box office of the film series amounted to 7.3 billion dollars.
