Armenia and the US deepen cooperation in the fields of biomedical and semiconductors

Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia Tatev Aslanyan participated in the “Freedom 250: Shared Values, Shared Opportunities” high-level meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of Armenia (AmCham Armenia). The event was dedicated to the 250th anniversary of US independence and the expansion of Armenian-American bilateral economic and technological cooperation.

ՀՀ բարձր տեխնոլոգիական արդյունաբերության և արհեստական բանականության նախարարի տեղակալ Տաթև Ասլանյանը մասնակցել է Հայաստանի Ամերիկյան առևտրի պալատի (AmCham Armenia) կազմակերպած «Freedom 250: Shared Values, Shared Opportunities» բարձրաստիճան հանդիպմանը: Միջոցառումը նվիրված էր ԱՄՆ անկախության 250-ամյակին և հայ-ամերիկյան երկկողմ տնտեսական ու տեխնոլոգիական համագործակցության ընդլայնմանը:

In her speech, Deputy Minister Tatev Aslanyan presented Armenia’s AI infrastructure achievements, especially highlighting the Firebird AI factory launched jointly with NVIDIA, Eleveight AI, and university supercomputing capabilities, thanks to which Armenia provides a large volume of GPU computing capacity in the region. She also emphasized the role of “Synopsys Armenia” in the field of semiconductor design, which, along with computing capabilities, makes Armenia a serious player not only in AI software, but also in hardware.

Իր ելույթում նախարարի տեղակալ Տաթև Ասլանյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի ԱԲ ենթակառուցվածքային ձեռքբերումները՝ հատկապես առանձնացնելով «NVIDIA» ընկերության հետ համատեղ գործարկված Firebird AI գործարանը, Eleveight AI-ը և բուհական գերհամակարգչային կարողությունները, որոնց շնորհիվ Հայաստանն ապահովում է տարածաշրջանում GPU հաշվողական հզորությունների մեծ ծավալ: Նա ընդգծել է նաև «Synopsys Armenia»-ի դերակատարումը կիսահաղորդիչների նախագծման ոլորտում, ինչը հաշվողական կարողությունների հետ մեկտեղ Հայաստանին դարձնում է լուրջ դերակատար ոչ միայն ԱԲ ծրագրային, այլև ապարատային (hardware) տիրույթում:

Tatev Aslanyan particularly highlighted the Memorandum of Understanding on AI and Semiconductors Cooperation signed between the US and Armenia in August 2025, noting that the agreement is a clear signal for building the future of bilateral technological partnership and developing deep and practical cooperation.

Տաթև Ասլանյանն առանձնակի կարևորել է 2025 թվականի օգոստոսին ԱՄՆ-ի և Հայաստանի միջև ստորագրված ԱԲ և կիսահաղորդիչների համագործակցության հուշագիրը՝ նշելով, որ համաձայնագիրը հստակ ազդակ է երկկողմ տեխնոլոգիական գործընկերության ապագայի կառուցման, խորքային ու գործնական համագործակցությունը զարգացնելու գործում:

The Deputy Minister detailed the five strategic directions outlined, emphasizing the formation of a predictable AI regulatory framework starting from the public sector, the fair distribution of GPU resources, and the implementation of a 5-year human capital development program. Tatev Aslanyan emphasized the importance of Armenia’s technological economy moving from providing services to creating its own products and leading technologies (deep-tech, physical AI, health-tech), which will open up broad opportunities for American investments and joint projects.

Նախարարի տեղակալը մանրամասնել է նախանշվող ռազմավարական հինգ ուղղությունները՝ շեշտադրելով հանրային հատվածից մեկնարկող ԱԲ կանխատեսելի կարգավորման շրջանակի ձևավորումը, GPU ռեսուրսների արդարացի բաշխումն ու մարդկային կապիտալի զարգացման 5-ամյա ծրագրի իրագործումը: Տաթև Ասլանյանն ընդգծել է Հայաստանի տեխնոլոգիական տնտեսության՝ ծառայությունների մատուցումից դեպի սեփական արտադրանքի ու առաջատար տեխնոլոգիաների (deep-tech, ֆիզիկական ԱԲ, health-tech) ստեղծմանն անցնելու կարևորությունը, ինչը լայն հնարավորություններ կբացի ամերիկյան ներդրումների և համատեղ նախագծերի համար:

Concluding her speech, Tatev Aslanyan noted that Armenia has the necessary infrastructure, a strong STEM community, and a Government that creates a predictable environment, and invited American investors to actively engage in the process of building Armenia’s technological future.

Եզրափակելով խոսքը՝ Տաթև Ասլանյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստանն ունի անհրաժեշտ ենթակառուցվածքներ, ուժեղ STEM համայնք և կանխատեսելի միջավայր ձևավորող Կառավարություն, ու հրավիրել է ամերիկյան ներդրողներին՝ ակտիվորեն ներգրավվելու Հայաստանի տեխնոլոգիական ապագայի կերտման գործընթացում:
