2 kg of marijuana found in truck; foreign citizen arrested

As a result of joint measures by the Police, National Security Service, Investigative Committee and Patrol Service, 14.2 kg of marijuana was found in the cabin of a truck in Kotayk region. According to the Police, the drug was smuggled into Armenia for the purpose of sale; a 45-year-old foreign citizen was arrested.

Ոստիկանության, ԱԱԾ-ի, Քննչական կոմիտեի և պարեկային ծառայության համատեղ միջոցառումների արդյունքում Կոտայքի մարզում բեռնատարի սրահում հայտնաբերվել է 14.2 կգ մարիխուանա։ Թմրամիջոցը, ըստ ոստիկանության, Հայաստան է ներկրվել մաքսանենգ ճանապարհով՝ իրացման նպատակով․ ձերբակալվել է 45-ամյա օտարերկրյա քաղաքացի։

“As a result of joint operational-investigative measures undertaken by the employees of the Kotayk Regional Department of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Service, the Investigative Committee and the Kotayk Regional Battalion of the Patrol Service, on the night of September 29, at 2:30 am, a 45-year-old foreign citizen was found in a truck parked in the parking lot of a factory adjacent to the Yerevan-Sevan road, arrested on reasonable suspicion of smuggling drugs into the territory of the Republic of Armenia for the purpose of sale and transferred to the Kotayk Regional Department of the Criminal Police.

«ՆԳՆ Քրեական ոստիկանության Կոտայքի մարզային վարչության, Ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության, Քննչական կոմիտեի և պարեկային ծառայության Կոտայքի մարզի գումարտակի ծառայողների համատեղ ձեռնարկած օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների արդյունքում սեպտեմբերի 29-ի գիշերը՝ ժամը 2․30-ին, Երևան-Սևան ճանապարհի հարակից գործարանի կայանատեղիում կայանված բեռնատարում հայտնաբերվել, իրացման նպատակով մաքսանենգ ճանապարհով Հայաստանի Հանրապետության տարածք թմրամիջոց ներկրելու հիմնավոր կասկածանքով ձերբակալվել և Քրեական ոստիկանության Կոտայքի մարզային վարչություն է տեղափոխվել օտարերկրյա քաղաքացի 45-ամյա մի տղամարդ։

The Ministry of Internal Affairs Police reports that during a search conducted within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings, 30 packages with a total of 14.2 kg of marijuana were found in the truck's cabin.

ՆԳՆ ոստիկանությունից հայտնում են, որ նախաձեռնված քրեական վարույթի շրջանակում կատարված խուզարկությամբ բեռնատարի սրահում հայտնաբերվել է ընդհանուր 14,2 կգ մարիխուանա տեսակի թմրամիջոցով 30 փաթեթ։

The 45-year-old man was transferred to the detention center.

45-ամյա տղամարդը տեղափոխվել է ձերբակալվածների պահման վայր։
