The concept for the reconstruction of the former building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs located on Republic Square in Yerevan was unanimously approved on September 30 by the Scientific-Methodological Council under the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. According to the program of "Corporation America Airports", the building is planned to be transformed into a multifunctional complex including hotel, residential, office and commercial areas, and the total investment volume will exceed $ 150 million.

Երևանի Հանրապետության հրապարակում գտնվող ԱԳՆ նախկին շենքի վերակառուցման հայեցակարգը սեպտեմբերի 30-ին միաձայն հավանության է արժանացել ԿԳՄՍ նախարարին կից գիտամեթոդական խորհրդի կողմից։ «Կորպորասիոն Ամերիկա օդանավակայաններ»-ի ծրագրով շենքը նախատեսվում է վերածել հյուրանոցային, բնակելի, գրասենյակային և առևտրային տարածքներ ներառող բազմաֆունկցիոնալ համալիրի, իսկ ընդհանուր ներդրումների ծավալը կգերազանցի 150 մլն դոլարը։

We are pleased to inform you that the concept for the reconstruction of the former building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, owned by "Corporation America Airports" on Republic Square in Yerevan was unanimously approved on September 30, 2019 by the Scientific-Methodological Council under the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Ուրախությամբ տեղեկացնում ենք, որ Երևանի Հանրապետության հրապարակում գտնվող «Կորպորասիոն Ամերիկա օդանավակայաններ» ընկերությանը պատկանող Արտաքին գործերի նախարարության նախկին շենքի վերակառուցման հայեցակարգը ս.թ. սեպտեմբերի 30-ին միաձայն հավանության է արժանացել ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարին կից գործող գիտամեթոդական խորհրդի կողմից։

The concept was developed in collaboration with the world-renowned London architectural and design firm Foster + Partners, as well as the Armenian architectural office Quadrum Architectural Office, which has extensive experience in the field of restoration of historical buildings.

Հայեցակարգը մշակվել է աշխարհահռչակ լոնդոնյան ճարտարապետական և դիզայներական «Foster + Partners» ընկերության, ինչպես նաև պատմական շենքերի վերականգնման ոլորտում մեծ փորձառություն ունեցող հայկական «Quadrum Architectural Office» ճարտարապետական գրասենյակի հետ համագործակցությամբ։

The project envisages the transformation of the existing building into a multifunctional complex, which will include hotel, residential, office and commercial areas, as well as new public spaces.

Նախագիծը նախատեսում է գոյություն ունեցող շենքի վերափոխումը բազմաֆունկցիոնալ համալիրի, որը կներառի հյուրանոցային, բնակելի, գրասենյակային և առևտրային տարածքներ, ինչպես նաև նոր հանրային տարածքներ։

The approval was preceded by close cooperation lasting about 18 months between the architectural teams and the Scientific-Methodological Council under the RA Minister of Education, Science and Technology. During this time, the concept was continuously improved as a result of constructive dialogue, taking into account the Council’s suggestions and observations.

Հաստատմանը նախորդել է շուրջ 18 ամիս տևած սերտ համագործակցություն ճարտարապետական թիմերի և ՀՀ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարին կից գործող գիտամեթոդական խորհրդի միջև։ Այդ ընթացքում հայեցակարգը շարունակաբար կատարելագործվել է կառուցողական երկխոսության արդյունքում՝ հաշվի առնելով Խորհրդի առաջարկություններն ու դիտարկումները։

Particular attention was paid to the need to preserve the architectural and historical value of the building, as well as its unique heritage elements.

Առանձնահատուկ ուշադրություն է հատկացվել շենքի ճարտարապետական և պատմական արժեքի, ինչպես նաև նրա առանձնահատուկ ժառանգական տարրերի պահպանման անհրաժեշտությանը։

With the approval of the concept, the project enters the next stage of development.

Հայեցակարգի հաստատմամբ նախագիծն անցնում է զարգացման հաջորդ փուլ։

“Our goal is to breathe new life into this landmark building, preserving its historical identity and direct connection to Republic Square, while creating a modern and vibrant environment for residents and visitors,” said Martin Eurnekian, CEO of Corporation America Airports.

The overall investment program is expected to invest more than $150 million.
