The Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), which has more than 870,000 members, the Egyptian Cancer Society (ECS), and the Kazakhstan Cancer Society have expressed support for Gevorg Tamamyan’s candidacy for director-general of the World Health Organization, Aysor.am reported. The organizations highlighted Tamamyan’s experience in oncology and international cooperation, as well as his work to improve access to medical care and strengthen healthcare systems. The election of the next director-general of the World Health Organization is scheduled for 2027.
