The number of tourists visiting Armenia has increased, but those staying in hotels have decreased.

At the same time, a notable change has been recorded in the structure of tourism: the growth in the number of tourists has not been accompanied by an increase in the number of people staying in hotels. On the contrary, the number of tourists staying in hotels has decreased by 8.4 thousand, from 382 thousand 659 to 374 thousand 250.

Instead, the number of people staying in the homes of relatives or friends, rented apartments and other accommodation has increased by 27.2 percent.

Փոխարենը 27.2 տոկոսով աճել է բարեկամների կամ հարազատների տներում, վարձով տրվող բնակարաններում և այլ կացարաններում տեղավորվածների թիվը։

Significant changes have also been recorded in the geographical distribution of tourists. The share of those arriving from the CIS countries has increased from 39.9 percent to 48.4 percent.

Զբոսաշրջիկների աշխարհագրական բաշխվածության մեջ ևս էական փոփոխություններ են արձանագրվել։ ԱՊՀ երկրներից ժամանողների մասնաբաժինը 39.9 տոկոսից հասել է 48.4 տոկոսի։

The main increase is due to arrivals from Russia. Their share in the total number of tourists visiting Armenia increased from 37.6 percent to 45.7 percent, while the number of tourists from Russia increased by 18.8 percent.

Հիմնական աճը Ռուսաստանից ժամանողների հաշվին է։ Նրանց մասնաբաժինը Հայաստան այցելած զբոսաշրջիկների ընդհանուր թվի մեջ 37.6 տոկոսից հասել է 45.7 տոկոսի, իսկ Ռուսաստանի ուղղությունից զբոսաշրջիկների թիվն աճել է 18.8 տոկոսով։

An increase was also recorded in arrivals from the European Union countries. The share of EU countries increased from 14.2 percent to 17.3 percent. Among individual markets, the increase in arrivals from the Netherlands is particularly noticeable - by 37.8 percent, from Italy - by 26.1 percent, and from other EU countries - by 29.6 percent.

Աճ է գրանցվել նաև Եվրամիության երկրներից ժամանումների դեպքում։ ԵՄ երկրների մասնաբաժինը 14.2 տոկոսից հասել է 17.3 տոկոսի։ Առանձին շուկաներից հատկապես նկատելի է Նիդերլանդներից ժամանումների աճը՝ 37.8 տոկոսով, Իտալիայից՝ 26.1 տոկոսով, իսկ ԵՄ մյուս երկրներից՝ 29.6 տոկոսով։

At the same time, a significant decrease was recorded in arrivals from Iran. The number of Iranian tourists decreased by 50.2 percent over the year. If in January-June 2025 they made up 8.2 percent of tourists visiting Armenia, then in the same period of 2026 this indicator decreased to 4.2 percent.

Միևնույն ժամանակ, զգալի անկում է գրանցվել Իրանից ժամանումների դեպքում։ Իրանցի զբոսաշրջիկների թիվը մեկ տարվա ընթացքում նվազել է 50.2 տոկոսով։ Եթե 2025 թվականի հունվար-հունիսին նրանք կազմել էին Հայաստան այցելած զբոսաշրջիկների 8.2 տոկոսը, ապա 2026-ի նույն ժամանակահատվածում այդ ցուցանիշը նվազել է մինչև 4.2 տոկոս։

The number of arrivals from the United States also decreased by 11.6 percent, and their share decreased from 7 percent to 6.3 percent.

ԱՄՆ-ից ժամանողների թիվն էլ նվազել է 11.6 տոկոսով, իսկ նրանց մասնաբաժինը՝ 7 տոկոսից հասել է 6.3 տոկոսի։

In the first half of 2026, 58.5 percent of tourists visiting Armenia came for leisure and entertainment purposes. In the same period last year, this indicator was 56.1 percent. The number of visits for leisure and entertainment purposes increased by 1.9 percent.

2026 թվականի առաջին կիսամյակում Հայաստան այցելած զբոսաշրջիկների 58.5 տոկոսը եկել է հանգստի և ժամանցի նպատակով։ Նախորդ տարվա նույն ժամանակահատվածում այդ ցուցանիշը 56.1 տոկոս էր։ Հանգստի և ժամանցի նպատակով այցելությունների թիվն աճել է 1.9 տոկոսով։

In contrast, the number of visits to Armenia for business purposes decreased by 9.5 percent. The share of this group in the total tourist flow decreased from 39.5 percent to 36.6 percent.

Փոխարենը նվազել է գործնական նպատակով Հայաստան այցելությունների թիվը՝ 9.5 տոկոսով։ Այս խմբի մասնաբաժինը ընդհանուր զբոսաշրջային հոսքում 39.5 տոկոսից նվազել է մինչև 36.6 տոկոս։

Visits for medical purposes also increased by 12 percent, and visits for other purposes by 12.4 percent.

Աճել են նաև բուժման նպատակով այցելությունները՝ 12 տոկոսով, իսկ այլ նպատակներով այցելությունները՝ 12.4 տոկոսով։

At the same time, the number of tourists traveling abroad from Armenia also decreased. In January-June 2026, 686 thousand 277 residents of Armenia, who are considered tourists according to statistical methodology, traveled abroad. In the same period of 2025, their number was 748 thousand 331. It is said that outbound tourism decreased by 8.3%.

The most significant change was recorded in the case of trips organized through travel agencies. Their number decreased from 12 thousand 214 to 7 thousand 457, by 38.9%.

Առավել զգալի փոփոխություն է գրանցվել տուրիստական գործակալությունների միջոցով կազմակերպվող ուղևորությունների դեպքում։ Դրանց թիվը 12 հազար 214-ից նվազել է մինչև 7 հազար 457՝ 38.9 տոկոսով։

At the same time, the vast majority of tourists traveling abroad continue to organize their travel independently. In the first half of 2026, 678 thousand 820 trips were organized in this way.

Միևնույն ժամանակ, արտերկիր մեկնող զբոսաշրջիկների գերակշիռ մասը շարունակում է ճանապարհորդությունը կազմակերպել ինքնուրույն․ 2026 թվականի առաջին կիսամյակում այդպես է կազմակերպվել 678 հազար 820 ուղևորություն։
