Mother-in-law charged with driving daughter-in-law to suicide

During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated by the Gegharkunik Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, apparent factual data were obtained that A.Sh., being a close relative of M.K., the husband's mother, had regularly humiliated M.K. during their joint residence, as a result of which the latter, being in a tense and severely depressed state of mind, committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling with a rope in the barn next to the house on November 27, 2024.

ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի Գեղարքունիքի մարզային քննչական վարչությունում նախաձեռնված քրեական վարույթի նախաքննության ընթացքում առերևույթ փաստական տվյալներ են ձեռք բերվել այն մասին, որ Ա.Շ.-ն հանդիսանալով Մ.Ք.-ի մերձավոր ազգականը՝ ամուսնու մայրը, համատեղ բնակության ընթացքում պարբերաբար նվաստացրել է Մ.Ք.-ին, ինչի հետևանքով վերջինս գտնվելով լարված և խիստ ընկճված հոգեվիճակում, 2024 թվականի նոյեմբերի 27-ին տանը կից անասնագոմում պարանով առաստաղից կախվելու միջոցով կատարել է ինքնասպանություն:

A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against A.Sh. under Article 162, Part 2, Clause 3 (inciting suicide) of the Criminal Code.

Ա.Շ.-ի նկատմամբ հարուցվել է հանրային քրեական հետապնդում՝ Քրեական օրենսգրքի 162-րդ հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի 3-րդ կետով (ինքնասպանության հասցնելը):

The criminal proceedings have been sent to the supervising prosecutor with an indictment," the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

Քրեական վարույթը մեղադրական եզրակացությամբ ուղարկվել է հսկող դատախազին»,- ասված է ՔԿ-ի տարածած հաղորդագրությունում։
