As a result of the negotiations between Kazakhstan and Germany, more than 30 trade documents were signed, the total amount of which amounted to about $2 billion. This was announced on September 29 by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a briefing on the results of the negotiations with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin.
“More than 30 trade documents worth about $2 billion were signed as part of the negotiations. It is obvious that if these agreements are effectively implemented, cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened,” Tokayev was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that important agreements were reached during the negotiations with Merz. He considered the meetings “substantial and productive.”
Tokayev noted that during the negotiations the parties also exchanged views on pressing issues of the regional and global agenda.
"We believe that any conflict should be resolved peacefully and diplomatically. This is the common position of our countries. In addition, we agreed to further develop the Central Asia-Germany dialogue format. Kazakhstan intends to strengthen its strategic partnership with Germany, which is aimed at long-term, mutually beneficial and concrete results," he said.
Tokayev also announced that he would visit Bavaria on September 30, where he would participate in the Kazakh-Bavarian technology conference.
