Putin has again increased the size of the Russian army

With the new decision, the number of personnel in the Russian armed forces has reached 2 million 441 thousand 630, of which 1 million 550 thousand 500 are servicemen. Before that, the number of personnel in the army was 2 million 426 thousand 130, and the number of servicemen was 1 million 535 thousand.

Նոր որոշմամբ ՌԴ զինված ուժերի հաստիքային թվաքանակը հասել է 2 միլիոն 441 հազար 630-ի, որից 1 միլիոն 550 հազար 500-ը զինծառայողներ են։ Մինչ այդ բանակի հաստիքային թվաքանակը կազմում էր 2 միլիոն 426 հազար 130, իսկ զինծառայողների թիվը՝ 1 միլիոն 535 հազար։

This is the fourth increase in the number of Russian troops this year, and the seventh since the start of the war in Ukraine.

The last change took place in late July, when Putin signed a decree to increase the number of personnel in the army by 25 thousand. Earlier, in June, the number of servicemen was increased to 1 million 510 thousand, and in March, to 1 million 502 thousand 640.
