Undeclared gold items of more than 1 kg at the Sharp customs office

The import of large-sized gold items subject to mandatory declaration was prevented at the Sarpi customs checkpoint.

“As a result of the inspection of the handbag of a foreign citizen, as well as his luggage, more than 1 kilogram, specifically 1229 grams of gold items, were found. The total customs value of the undeclared goods amounted to 259 thousand 930 GEL.

«Օտարերկրյա քաղաքացու ձեռքի պայուսակի, նաև իրեն պատկանող ուղեբեռի զննության արդյունքում հայտնաբերվել է 1 կիլոգրամից ավելի, մասնավորապես՝ 1229 գրամ ոսկյա իրեր։ Չհայտարարագրված ապրանքի ընդհանուր մաքսային արժեքը կազմել է 259 հազար 930 լարի։

The case materials on the violator citizen have been transferred to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance,” the Revenue Service said in a statement.
