At the meeting with the Commissioner for Human Rights of Turkmenistan, the parties spoke about the importance of multi-year cooperation between the structures. Yazdursun Gurbannazarova positively assessed the activities of the Georgian Public Defense Apparatus, especially the National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) and noted that she was ready to use the Georgian experience in creating the National Preventive Mechanism. The parties agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation next year, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Institute of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan," the report reads.
