The RA State Electricity Regulatory Commission held a public hearing on the draft Government Decision on Recognizing a Public Overriding Interest in 100% of the Shares of "Electric Networks of Armenia"

The public hearing was chaired by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan. The public hearing was attended by the Acting Administrator of the ENA Romanos Petrosyan, the member of the Public Services Regulatory Commission Sergey Aghinyan, the heads and representatives of the energy system companies, representatives of the media, and citizens.

The press release issued by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure states that, according to Khudatyan, the draft resolution on recognizing a public overriding interest is based on the importance of the vital public importance of electricity distribution, uninterrupted power supply to the population, normal operation of social and strategic facilities, stability of the energy system, and protection of consumer rights.

ՏԿԵ նախարարության տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ նշվում, որ Խուդաթյանի խոսքով՝ հանրային գերակա շահ ճանաչելու նախագծի հիմքում դրվել է էլեկտրաէներգիայի բաշխման կենսական հանրային նշանակության, բնակչությանը անխափան էնեկտրաէներգիայի մատակարարման, սոցիալական և ռազմավարական օբյեկտների բնականոն գործունեության, էներգետիկ համակարգի կայունության և սպառողների իրավունքների պաշտպանության կարևորությունը։
