Opening of the 2026-2027 academic year of the Armenian "Masiha" National School in Urmia

At the school gate, His Holiness, National Benefactor Edik Mejlumyan, and Member of the Divan of the Assembly of Deputies Sarine Mejlumyan were warmly welcomed by the children and the administration. After blessing the bread offered by His Holiness, the procession entered the school. Five female and male students welcomed His Holiness and the guests with bouquets of flowers, sweets, and other decorations.

Դպրոցի դարպասի մօտ Սրբազան հայրը, Ազգային բարերար Էդիկ Մեջլումեանը եւ Պատգամաւորական ժողովի Դիւանի անդամ Սարինէ Մեջլումեանը մեծ սիրով դիմաւորւեցին երեխաների եւ տեսչութեան կողմից: Սրբազանը հայրը օրհնելով մատուցւած աղուհացը, թափօրը մուտք գործեց դպրոց: Հինգ աշակերտ-աշակերտուհիներ ծաղկեփնջով, քաղցրեղէններով, եւ այլ զարդերով դիմաւորեցին Սրբազան հօրը, եւ հիւրերին:

The Reverend Adrine Mejlumian organized a special reception in the school compound, where the Bishop was welcomed with applause from the entire student body. After the Reverend’s welcoming speech, the student Arpi Sarhadian read a welcoming speech on behalf of the student body. In her heartfelt greeting, she said: “Today is a happy and blessed day in our school life. We welcome the new academic year with great joy. On this beautiful occasion, we extend our warm greetings to you, dear His Holiness, and say, welcome to our school. Your presence is a great joy for us. May God grant you many years of life. We ask that this academic year, opened with your fatherly blessing, be a year of peace, light, knowledge and success. And may peace, love and solidarity always reign in our school. Happy new academic year. Good luck.”

Տեսչուհի Ադրինէ Մեջլումեան յատուկ ընդունելութիւն էր կազմակերպել դպրոցի շրջափակում, որտեղ Սրբազանը ընդունւեց ամբողջ աշակերտութեան ծափողջոյններով: Տեսչուհու բարի գալստեան խօսքից յետոյ, աշակերտութեան անունից բարի գալստեան խօսք ընթերցեց աշակերտուհի Արփի Սարհադեանը: Նա իր սրտագին ողջոյնի խօսքում ասաց. «Այսօր մեր դպրոցական կեանքում ուրախ եւ օրհնեալ օր է. մեծ ուրախութեամբ ենք դիմաւորում ուսումնական նոր տարին: Այս գեղեցիկ առիթով մեր ջերմ ողջոյնն են յղում Ձեզ՝ սիրելի Սրբազան հայր, եւ ասում՝ բարի գալուստ մեր դպրոց: Ձեր ներկայութիւնը մեզ համար մեծ ուրախութիւն է: Թող Աստւած Ձեզ երկար տարիների կեանք պարգեւի: Խնդրում ենք, որ Ձեր հայրական օրհնութեամբ բացւած այս ուսումնական տարին լինի խաղաղութեան, լոյսի, գիտելիքի եւ յաջողութիւնների տարի. իսկ մեր դպրոցում միշտ տիրեն խաղաղութիւնը, սէրն ու համերաշխութիւնը: Շնորհաւոր նոր ուսումնական տարի: Բարի երթ»:

The Holy Father prayed the Lord’s Prayer with the students and the prayer “For the work of our hands,” and then addressed them with his fatherly message.

Սրբազան հայրը աշակերտութեան հետ միասին կատարեց Տէրունական աղօթքը, եւ «Զգործս ձեռաց մերոց» մաղթանքը, եւ ապա նրանց ուղղեց իր հայրական պատգամը:

Expressing his love and deep faith in the Armenian school, the Prelate encouraged the students: “Our language is the powerful means by which they will never be defeated. Look at the past history of peoples. How many nations have come, but they have not survived, because they did not have a native language, letters, and culture. And we, no matter how many times we have been destroyed as a nation by the hands of our enemies, have survived through the power of our language and our faith,” said the Prelate.

Հայոց դպրոցի հանդէպ իր սէրն ու խորունկ հաւատքը արտայայտելով, առաջնորդ Սրբազանը քաջալեր հանդիսացաւ աշակերտութեան. «Մեր լեզուն է այն զօրեղ միջոցը, որով պարտութեան չեն մատնւելու, երբեք: Նայեցէք ժողովուրդների անցեալ պատմութեան: Ինչքա՜ն ազգեր եկել են, սակայն չեն գոյատեւել, որովհետեւ մայրենի լեզու, տառեր եւ մշակոյթ չեն ունեցել: Իսկ մենք, ինչքան էլ որ ազգովին կոտորւել ենք թշնամիների ձեռքով, մեր լեզւի եւ մեր հաւատքի զօրութեամբ ենք գոյատեւել»,- ասաց Սրբազանը:

After a sincere conversation with the students and memorable moments, the teachers led everyone to their classrooms and began their lessons. The Prelate had an intimate meeting with the administration and head teachers at the inspectorate. Inspector Adrine Mejlumian spoke about the online training during the war. She also spoke about the teaching and educational work to be carried out during the new school year, as well as the program for the renovation and asphalting of the school grounds.

Աշակերտութեան հետ անկեղծ զրոյցից եւ յիշատակելի պահերից յետոյ ուսուցիչները բոլորին առաջնորդեցին դասարանները, եւ սկսեցին իրենց դասաւանդութիւնները: Առաջնորդ Սրբազանը տեսչարանին մէջ մտերմիկ հանդիպում ունեցաւ տնօրէնութեան կազմի եւ գլխաւոր ուսուցիչների հետ: Տեսչուհի Ադրինէ Մեջլումեանը անդրադարձաւ պատերազմական օրերին համացանցով կատարւած ուսուցումներին: Նա խօսեց նաեւ նոր տարեշրջանի ընթացքում կատարւելիք ուսուցողութեան եւ կրթական աշխատանքների, ինչպէս նաեւ շրջափակի վերանորոգման եւ ասֆալթապատման ծրագրի մասին:
