"Harvest Full Moon": Take a look at the sky

«Հիդրոօդերևութաբանության և մոնիթորինգի կենտրոն» ՊՈԱԿ-ի տնօրեն Լևոն Ազիզյանը սոցցանցի իր էջում գրել է.

“Today, September 26, at 20:49 Yerevan time, the “Harvest Full Moon” will be observed. This is the name of the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. It can also be observed before and after the specified time. To the naked eye, the lunar disk will appear almost complete for several evenings in a row.

«Այսօր՝ սեպտեմբերի 26-ին, Երևանի ժամանակով ժամը 20։49-ին, կդիտվի «Բերքահավաքի լիալուսինը»։ Այսպես են անվանում Հյուսիսային կիսագնդում աշնանային գիշերահավասարին ամենամոտ լիալուսինը։ Այն կարելի է դիտել նաև նշված ժամից առաջ և հետո․ կանզեն աչքով լուսնային սկավառակը գրեթե ամբողջական կթվա մի քանի երեկո շարունա։

The name is associated with the harvest in ancient times. At this time of year, the moonrise time is relatively late, and for several evenings, the moonlight illuminates the fields after sunset. Before the spread of electric lighting, this allowed farmers to continue working even after dusk.

The Moon may appear especially large and golden or orange near the horizon. The color is due to the atmosphere: at a low position, the Moon's light travels a longer distance through the air, blue rays are scattered more strongly, and reddish shades become more noticeable. The apparent large size is mainly a feature of our visual perception.

Հորիզոնին մոտ Լուսինը կարող է թվալ հատկապես մեծ ու ոսկեգույն կամ նարնջագույն։ Գունային երանգը պայմանավորված է մթնոլորտով․ ցածր դիրքում Լուսնի լույսն ավելի երկար ճանապարհ է անցնում օդի միջով, կապույտ ճառագայթներն ավելի ուժեղ են ցրվում, իսկ կարմրավուն երանգներն ավելի նկատելի են դառնում։ Մեծ թվացող չափը հիմնականում մեր տեսողական ընկալման առանձնահատկությունն է։

Saturn will also be visible next to the Moon tonight as a bright spot. The planet can be seen with the naked eye, but a telescope is needed to see its rings. For viewing, choose a place with an open view to the east after sunset. In case of clear skies, the full Moon and Saturn will make a beautiful pair in the autumn night sky.

Այս երեկո Լուսնի հարևանությամբ կերևա նաև Սատուրնը՝ պայծառ լուսակետի տեսքով։ Մոլորակը կարելի է նկատել անզեն աչքով, իսկ նրա օղակները դիտելու համար անհրաժեշտ է աստղադիտակ։ Դիտելու համար մայրամուտից հետո ընտրեք դեպի արևելք բաց տեսարան ունեցող վայր։ Պարզ երկնքի դեպքում լիալուսինն ու Սատուրնը գեղեցիկ զույգ կկազմեն աշնանային գիշերային երկնքում»։
