However, instead of consolidating society, the ruling regime has opened an "internal front." "This is happening because the current Armenian government has effectively joined the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem's struggle against the protection of the inalienable rights of our people," Rustamyan stated. He emphasized that, under the guise of peace slogans, the government has begun a deliberate rejection of national goals: "Considering them as fueling conflict, it consistently seeks to undermine the foundations of Armenian identity."

Однако вместо консолидации общества правящий режим открыл «внутренний фронт». «Это происходит потому, что к борьбе турецко-азербайджанского тандема против защиты неотъемлемых прав нашего народа фактически присоединилась и действующая в Армении власть», — констатировал Рустамян. Он подчеркнул, что власть, прикрываясь лозунгами о мире, начала запрограммированный отказ от общенациональных целей: «Считая их порождающими конфликт, она последовательно стремится подорвать основы армянской идентичности».

The expert emphasized that Turkification is not a metaphor. "This is a state where Armenia is turning into a country that formally exists, but is de facto completely dependent on Turkey and Azerbaijan, becoming their appendage," the ARF Bureau representative concluded, adding that the nation faces a watershed: either the formation of a national government or complete Turkification.

Clear confirmation of this thesis comes from the words of Gaspar Karapetyan, Chairman of the European Office of the ARF "Hay Dat," who bluntly stated that the current authorities are fighting national thinking on the orders of the presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ilham Aliyev. Karapetyan compared official Yerevan's attempts to fragment the Armenian diaspora to the failed policies of Armenia's first president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan. The situation has reached the point of absurdity: while Pashinyan's government is afraid to utter the word "Artsakh," Europeans are taking on the defense of the rights of the Artsakh people through platforms like "In the Name of Artsakh."

One of the most outrageous manifestations of this anti-national course has been the unprecedented campaign of harassment against the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II personally. The climax of this campaign was the recently published 74-page report, prepared under the direct orders of Nikol Pashinyan by the Public Relations and Information Center. In the document, containing 16 dubious provisions, the authors attempt to blame the de facto head of the Church and high-ranking clergy for a supposed "crisis in the AAC."

Одним из самых возмутительных проявлений антинационального курса стала беспрецедентная кампания травли Армянской Апостольской Церкви (ААЦ) и лично Католикоса Всех Армян Гарегина II. Апогеем этой кампании стал недавно опубликованный 74-страничный доклад, подготовленный по прямому поручению Никола Пашиняна ГНКО «Центр общественных связей и информации». В документе, содержащем 16 сомнительных положений, авторы пытаются возложить вину за некий «кризис в ААЦ» на фактического главу Церкви и высокопоставленных священнослужителей.

Assessing this outrageous fact, ARF Bureau representative and Chairman of the Hay Dat Central Council, Hakob Ter-Khachaturyan, called the events a banal political vendetta that has no basis. "Unfortunately, we all know that democracy is in retreat in Armenia. A special struggle is being waged against national values, ideology, and organizations defending our identity. "The Armenian Apostolic Church is at the forefront," Ter-Khachaturyan emphasized.

According to him, ARF structures are already conducting serious work, consulting with Catholicoses Garegin II and Aram I, and seeking support from the Vatican and the World Council of Churches. The expert also pointed to the West's double standards: Europe and the United States turn a blind eye to democratic violations in Armenia simply because Pashinyan's policies are aimed at ousting Russian influence from the region. Ter-Khachaturyan expressed hope that matters will not escalate to the arrest of the Catholicos of All Armenians, but stated: "But this government has already crossed all red lines."

The narrative being forced upon society that defending national rights supposedly hinders peace does not stand up to scrutiny. Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a member of parliament from the opposition Armenia bloc and a representative of the ARF Supreme Body, dispelled the propaganda myth that the diaspora's activities are contrary to the interests of the state.

Our statehood is threatened by the renunciation of the rights of our own people, the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and national dignity. Our state is threatened by internal division, a campaign against the Armenian Apostolic Church, and the blunting of our people's instinct for self-preservation," the parliamentarian stated.

«“Ай Дат”, в отличие от некоторых, не ставит государство под угрозу. Нашей государственности угрожает дипломатия, которая удовлетворяет все требования Азербайджана и Турции. Нашей государственности угрожает отказ от прав собственного народа, международного признания Геноцида армян и национального достоинства. Нашему государству угрожают внутринациональный раскол, кампания против Армянской Апостольской Церкви и притупление инстинкта самосохранения нашего народа», — заявил парламентарий.

Saghatelyan is confident that Hay Dat is not hindering peace, but merely preventing the enemy from implementing its humiliating demands. "But peace, begged for on one's knees, usually only leads to a new war and new losses." "Hay Dat" is fighting to ensure that even the enemy is forced to consider our interests," the MP concluded.

Hakob Ter-Khachaturyan agreed, noting that the right of return is not an illusion, but that it is impossible without international security guarantees for compatriots.

The Chairman of the Central Council outlined four main areas of work ahead, with Armenia and Artsakh as priorities. These include strengthening the foundations of the state, informing the international community, and firmly countering Turkish-Azerbaijani anti-Armenian propaganda, including the concept of "Western Azerbaijan," demands for changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, and the issue of Armenia's occupied sovereign territories.
