Representatives from Bahrain, Israel, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States met in New York for the first time in three years within the framework of the Abraham Accords, aiming to improve relations between the Jewish state and Arab countries.

Israel and Arab countries discuss Abraham Accords for first time in three years

Representatives of Bahrain, Israel, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States met in New York for the first time in three years within the framework of the Abraham Accords, aiming to improve relations between the Jewish state and Arab countries. This was reported by CBS.

The previous working meeting in this format took place in January 2023 in Abu Dhabi. After the terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023 and the start of large-scale Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, the countries suspended meetings on the Abraham Accords.

In 2020, Bahrain, Morocco and the UAE normalized relations with Israel. In 2021, Sudan announced the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Jewish state. Prior to these agreements, Israel had only established diplomatic relations with Egypt (1979) and Jordan (1994).
