A temperature record has been set in Armenia

“As predicted, as a result of the penetration of a tropical warm air wave, an extremely high temperature background was observed throughout Armenia on September 23 and 24 for this period of the year. In almost all regions, the maximum daytime temperatures recorded exceeded the historical maximum values ever observed on those days by 1-2 degrees.

«Ինչպես և կանխատեսվել էր արևադարձային տաք օդի ալիքի ներթափանցման հետևանքով սեպտեմբերի 23-ին և 24-ին Հայաստանի ողջ տարածքում դիտվեց տարվա այս ժամանակահատվածի համար խիստ բարձր ջերմային ֆոն, գրեթե բոլոր մարզերում ցերեկը գրանցված առավելագույն ջերմաստիճանները 1-2 աստիճանով գերազանցեցին այդ օրերին երբևիցե դիտված պատմական առավելագույն արժեքները։

Particularly high temperatures were recorded in the Ararat Valley: +35…+36°C, – in the Syunik valleys: +34…+37°C.

Հատկապես շատ բարձր ջերմաստիճան գրանցվեց՝ -Արարատյան դաշտում՝ +35․․․+36°C, – Սյունիքի հովիտներում՝ +34․․․+37°C։

The average daily air temperature as of September 24 is 5-7 degrees above the climatic norm, which is considered anomalously hot,” the report says.
