I learned from Messi that everything must be done for efficiency: Dembele

PSG winger Ousmane Dembele has revealed how his playing style has changed over the years, citing playing alongside Lionel Messi at Barcelona as a huge influence.

According to Dembele, in his youth he often tried to perform impressive tricks and please the fans. “When you’re 18-20, that’s normal. When I was 20, I wanted to pass the ball between the opponent’s legs two or three times, do different tricks and tricks to hear the audience’s reaction,” he said.

The player noted that later he began to play more effectively and calmly. According to him, playing alongside the best players in the world at Barcelona, especially with Messi, played a big role in this change.

“I saw how Lionel played. He did everything for efficiency: every action, every movement. "I learned a lot from him," said Dembele.
