am: Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Army General Oleg Salyukov stated that the statements of the Armenian military-political leadership on bringing the Armed Forces into line with Euro-Atlantic standards, in his assessment, are still mainly “declared and political in nature.”

“The real transition of the Armenian Armed Forces to NATO standards will be a long and complex process, which will require large budgetary expenditures, with an uncertain future for Armenia’s security,” he said.
