The published report contains blatantly false information about Archbishop Arshak: lawyer

“On the instruction of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the “Public Relations and Information Center” SNCO of the Prime Minister’s Office has published a 74-page report entitled “On the crisis that has arisen in the Church as a result of the activities of the de facto head of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and a number of high-ranking clergy and ways to resolve it.” The report makes it clear that the political authorities have not abandoned the practice of spreading false information about Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan. Moreover, we are talking about a claim that has long been refuted by three international expert examinations, and their conclusions have been published and made available to the public.

«ՀՀ վարչապետի հանձնարարությամբ վարչապետի աշխատակազմի «Հանրային կապերի և տեղեկատվության կենտրոն» ՊՈԱԿ-ը հրապարակել է 74 էջանոց զեկույց՝ «Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու փաստացի պետի և մի շարք բարձրաստիճան հոգևորականների գործունեության արդյունքում Եկեղեցում առաջացած ճգնաժամի և լուծման ուղիների մասին» վերնագրով։ Զեկույցից պարզ է դառնում, որ քաղաքական իշխանությունը չի հրաժարվել Արշակ արքեպիսկոպոս Խաչատրյանի վերաբերյալ կեղծ տեղեկություններ տարածելու գործելակերպից։ Ընդ որում՝ խոսքը մի պնդման մասին է, որը վաղուց հերքվել է երեք միջազգային փորձաքննություններով, իսկ դրանց եզրակացությունները հրապարակվել և հասանելի են դարձել հանրությանը։

The report specifically mentions the following regarding Archbishop Arshak:

Զեկույցում Արշակ Սրբազանի վերաբերյալ, մասնավորապես, նշված է․

“(…) The dissemination of intimate videos attributed to Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, where, according to the source, the archbishop has sexual relations with his relative. Despite the archbishop’s denial, the RA Investigative Committee has subjected the videos to an expert examination, as a result of which the authenticity of the videos has been confirmed.”

«(…) Արշակ արք. Խաչատրյանին վերագրվող ինտիմ բնույթի տեսանյութերի տարածումը, որտեղ, ըստ աղբյուրի պնդման, արքեպիսկոպոսը սեռական կապ է ունենում իր ազգականի հետ։ Չնայած արքեպիսկոպոսի կողմից հերքմանը՝ ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեն փորձաքննության է ենթարկել տեսանյութերը, ինչի արդյունքում հաստատվել է տեսանյութերի իսկությունը»։

In connection with the criminal proceedings conducted in connection with the known fake videos, as the lawyer of Archbishop Arshak, I officially declare that this report published by the Prime Minister’s instruction contains blatantly false information.

Հայտնի կեղծ տեսանյութերի առնչությամբ իրականացվող քրեական վարույթով, որպես Արշակ Սրբազանի փաստաբան, պաշտոնապես հայտարարում եմ՝ վարչապետի հանձնարարությամբ հրապարակված այս զեկույցում տեղ է գտել բացահայտ կեղծ տեղեկություն։

The RA Investigative Committee has not appointed or conducted any such expert examination as a result of which the authenticity of the published videos would have been confirmed.

ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի կողմից չի նշանակվել և չի կատարվել որևէ այնպիսի փորձաքննություն, որի արդյունքում հաստատված լինի հրապարակված տեսանյութերի իսկությունը։

On our initiative, three international expert examinations have been appointed and conducted, the conclusions of which clearly and unequivocally confirmed that the videos attributed to Archbishop Arshak ARE FAKE.

Մեր նախաձեռնությամբ նշանակվել և իրականացվել են երեք միջազգային փորձաքննություններ, որոնց եզրակացություններով հստակ և միանշանակ հաստատվել է՝ Արշակ Սրբազանին վերագրվող տեսանյութերը ԿԵՂԾ ԵՆ։

"Therefore, the inclusion of such a claim in an official report by a state body is not simply a factual error, but a re-dissemination of already refuted information using the official state channel," Arsen Babayan wrote.

Հետևաբար, պետական մարմնի կողմից պաշտոնական զեկույցում նման պնդման ներառումը ոչ թե պարզապես փաստական սխալ է, այլ արդեն իսկ հերքված տեղեկության կրկնակի տարածում՝ օգտագործելով պետական պաշտոնական խողովակը»,- գրել է Արսեն Բաբայանը։
