Armenia's position in the Gender Gap Index calculated by the World Economic Forum has improved significantly in recent years; we are now in 58th place among 148 countries.

Համաշխարհային տնտեսական ֆորումի կողմից հաշվարկվող Gender Gap Index-ում Հայաստանի դիրքը վերջին տարիներին զգալիորեն բարելավվել է՝ այժմ 58-րդ տեղում ենք 148 երկրների շարքում:

Armenia is a leader in gender equality among neighboring countries, according to the ACSES think tank. "According to the Global Gender Gap 2026 report published by the World Economic Forum, Armenia ranks 58th out of 145 countries in the world in terms of gender equality index (0.731) and is the leader among bordering countries. In all bordering countries, including Armenia, gender equality is particularly evident in the education and health sectors, in particular, for example, Armenia is among the first in the world in terms of gender equality indicators in literacy, higher education enrollment, and healthy life expectancy. Gender inequality in both Armenia and bordering countries is particularly evident in the political sphere: the sub-index value is 0.324 in Armenia, 0.226 in Georgia, 0.118 in Turkey, 0.081 in Azerbaijan, and 0.046 in Iran. The Global Gender Gap Index is formed by four sub-indices: education, health, economy, and politics. This publication has been prepared within the framework of the EU-funded “Sustainable, Influential and Inclusive Civil Society” (SICS) project. The project is implemented by the Foundation for the Development of Democracy (FDD), the “Man in Need” NGO and the “Bun” Scientific and Cultural Foundation. It aims to strengthen the role of civil society in Armenia as a resilient, independent and credible factor in democratic governance, policy development and community empowerment.

Հայաստանը գենդերային հավասարությամբ առաջատար է սահմանակից երկրների շարքումACSES վերլուծական կենտրոն. «Համաձայն Համաշխարհային տնտեսական ֆորումի կողմից հրապարակված Գլոբալ գենդերային ճեղքվածքի 2026թ-ի զեկույցի՝ Հայաստանը գենդերային հավասարության ինդեքսով (0.731) 58-րդն է աշխարհի 145 պետությունների և առաջատարը՝ սահմանակից երկրների շարքում: Սահմանակից բոլոր երկրներում, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանում, գենդերային հավասարությունը հատկապես դրսևորվում է կրթական և առողջապահական ոլորտներում, մասնավորապես՝ օրինակ Հայաստանը աշխարհում առաջիններից է գրագիտության, բարձրագույն կրթության ընդունելության և առողջ կյանքի տևողության մակարդակներում առկա գենդերային հավասարության ցուցանիշներով: Գենդերային անհավասարությունը թե՛ Հայաստանի, թե՛ սահմանակից երկրների դեպքում դրսևորվում է հատկապես քաղաքական ոլորտում․ ենթաինդեքսի մեծությունը Հայաստանում 0.324 է, Վրաստանում՝ 0.226, Թուրքիայում՝ 0.118, Ադրբեջանում՝ 0.081, Իրանում՝ 0.046։ Գլոբալ գենդերային ճեղքվածքի ինդեքսը ձևավորվում է չորս ենթաինդեքսներով՝ կրթություն, առողջապահություն, տնտեսություն և քաղաքականություն։ Այս հրապարակումը պատրաստվել է ԵՄ կողմից ֆինանսավորվող «Կայուն, ազդեցիկ և ներառական քաղհասարակություն» (ԿԱՆՔ) ծրագրի շրջանակում։ Ծրագիրն իրականացվում է Ժողովրդավարության զարգացման հիմնադրամի (ԺԶՀ), «Մարդը կարիքի մեջ» հասարակական կազմակերպության և «Բուն» գիտամշակութային հիմնադրամի կողմից: Այն նպատակ ունի ամրապնդել քաղաքացիական հասարակության դերը Հայաստանում՝ որպես դիմակայուն, անկախ և վստահելի գործոն ժողովրդավարական կառավարման, քաղաքականությունների մշակման և համայնքային հզորացման գործում»:
