The CP and government representatives left the discussion on the topic of “Socio-economic, legal problems and solutions of Artsakh Armenians” organized by the initiative of the Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs of the National Assembly.

After the speeches of former Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan and former State Minister Artak Beglaryan, when it was time for questions and answers, the Deputy Chairman of the NA Labor and Social Affairs Committee, MP from the ruling “Civil Contract” faction Mariam Poghosyan announced that the government team refuses to participate in the discussion.

“We came today with the expectation that we would discuss the social problems of our compatriots in Karabakh, but this meeting seems to have become an inter-parliamentary meeting, the names of some positions are being mentioned. And we have repeatedly said that there cannot be two parliaments, there cannot be two governments in Armenia. We are forced to leave this discussion,” Poghosyan noted.

«Մենք այսօր եկել էինք այն ակնկալիքով, որ կքննարկենք Ղարաբաղի մեր հայրենակիցների սոցիալական խնդիրները, բայց այս հանդիպումը կարծես դարձել է միջխորհրդարանական հանդիպում, ինչ-որ պաշտոնների անուններ են հնչում: Իսկ մենք բազմիցս ասել ենք, որ Հայաստանում չի կարող լինել երկու խորհրդարան, չի կարող լինել երկու կառավարություն: Մենք ստիպված ենք լքել այս քննարկումը»,- նշեց Պողոսյանը:
