The 35th anniversary of Armenia's Independence was celebrated in Tbilisi

The event was attended by congratulatory speeches from the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan and the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili.

Միջոցառմանը շնորհավորական ելույթներով հանդես են եկել Վրաստանում ՀՀ դեսպան Աշոտ Սմբատյանը և Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի նախագահ Շալվա Պապուաշվիլին։

In his speech, Ashot Smbatyan noted that independence is one of the highest values of the Armenian people, the cornerstone of statehood, sovereignty and a free and democratic future. According to him, it is not only a historical achievement, but also a daily responsibility to strengthen the state, ensure peace and security, and build a developed and prosperous Armenia.

Իր խոսքում Աշոտ Սմբատյանը նշել է, որ անկախությունը հայ ժողովրդի բարձրագույն արժեքներից է, պետականության, ինքնիշխանության և ազատ ու ժողովրդավարական ապագայի հիմնասյունը։ Նրա խոսքով՝ այն ոչ միայն պատմական ձեռքբերում է, այլև ամենօրյա պատասխանատվություն՝ ամրապնդելու պետությունը, ապահովելու խաղաղությունն ու անվտանգությունը և կառուցելու զարգացած ու բարեկեցիկ Հայաստան։

The Ambassador emphasized that Armenia is firmly pushing forward the peace agenda, being convinced that the establishment of peace in the region will create new opportunities for sustainable development, economic cooperation and the well-being of peoples.

Դեսպանը ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանը հաստատակամորեն առաջ է մղում խաղաղության օրակարգը՝ համոզված լինելով, որ տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության հաստատումը նոր հնարավորություններ կստեղծի կայուն զարգացման, տնտեսական համագործակցության և ժողովուրդների բարեկեցության համար։

In this context, Ashot Smbatyan highlighted the constructive role of friendly Georgia and the strategic partnership of the two countries as an important factor in strengthening peace, stability and mutual trust in the South Caucasus.

Այս համատեքստում Աշոտ Սմբատյանը կարևորել է բարեկամ Վրաստանի կառուցողական դերը և երկու երկրների ռազմավարական գործընկերությունը՝ որպես Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության, կայունության և փոխվստահության ամրապնդման կարևոր գործոն։

Touching upon the relations between Armenia and Georgia, the Ambassador noted that the two countries and peoples are united by centuries-old friendship, brotherhood, historical and cultural commonalities and strong human ties.

Անդրադառնալով Հայաստանի և Վրաստանի հարաբերություններին՝ դեսպանը նշել է, որ երկու երկրներին ու ժողովուրդներին միավորում են դարավոր բարեկամությունը, եղբայրությունը, պատմամշակութային ընդհանրությունները և ամուր մարդկային կապերը։

In his speech, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili noted that the values of independence, sovereignty and national dignity are of particular importance for the two neighboring and brotherly peoples.

Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի նախագահ Շալվա Պապուաշվիլին իր ելույթում նշել է, որ երկու հարևան և եղբայրական ժողովուրդների համար անկախության, ինքնիշխանության և ազգային արժանապատվության արժեքներն առանձնահատուկ նշանակություն ունեն։

According to him, in today's world full of challenges, the two countries are doing their utmost to protect the right to independently determine their future and build a peaceful and prosperous society in accordance with their aspirations.

Նրա խոսքով՝ մարտահրավերներով լի այսօրվա աշխարհում երկու երկրներն անում են առավելագույնը՝ պաշտպանելու իրենց ապագան ինքնուրույն որոշելու իրավունքը և իրենց ձգտումներին համապատասխան կառուցելու խաղաղ ու բարգավաճ հասարակություն։

Shalva Papuashvili also emphasized that Georgia and Armenia are connected by centuries-old common history, rich cultural ties, warm human relations and mutual respect.

Շալվա Պապուաշվիլին ընդգծել է նաև, որ Վրաստանն ու Հայաստանը կապում են դարերի ընդհանուր պատմությունը, հարուստ մշակութային կապերը, ջերմ մարդկային հարաբերություններն ու փոխադարձ հարգանքը։

The event was attended by Giorgi Volski, First Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, deputies of the Parliament and the City Council, members of the Government, the Prosecutor General and other high-ranking Georgian officials, ambassadors accredited to Georgia, heads of international organizations, as well as representatives of public, business and cultural circles of Georgia and the Georgian-Armenian community.

Միջոցառմանը ներկա են եղել Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի առաջին փոխխոսնակ Գիորգի Վոլսկին, խորհրդարանի և քաղաքային խորհրդի պատգամավորներ, կառավարության անդամներ, գլխավոր դատախազը և այլ բարձրաստիճան վրացի պաշտոնյաներ, Վրաստանում հավատարմագրված դեսպաններ, միջազգային կազմակերպությունների ղեկավարներ, ինչպես նաև Վրաստանի հասարակական, գործարար և մշակութային շրջանակների ու վիրահայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներ։

During the festive concert, musical performances were performed by a specially invited kanoon player from Armenia, Honored Pedagogue of the Republic of Armenia Tsovinar Hovhannisyan and her students Kristine Yengoyan, Milena Mkrtumyan and Meri Musinyan.

Տոնական համերգի ընթացքում երաժշտական կատարումներով հանդես են եկել հատուկ Հայաստանից հրավիրված քանոնահար, ՀՀ վաստակավոր մանկավարժ Ծովինար Հովհաննիսյանը և նրա սաները՝ Քրիստինե Ենգոյանը, Միլենա Մկրտումյանը և Մերի Մուսինյանը։

During the reception, video clips presenting the tourist attractions of Armenia were also shown.
