Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the institution of permanent membership in the UN Security Council and the right of veto are important elements of the organization’s structure, and Russia is committed to them.
ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը հայտարարել է, որ ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի մշտական անդամության ինստիտուտը և վետոյի իրավունքը կազմակերպության կառուցվածքի կարևոր տարրեր են, և Ռուսաստանը հավատարիմ է դրանց։
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for the abolition of the right of veto in the UN Security Council, noting that the current system no longer corresponds to the realities of the modern world.
Նախկինում Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը կոչ էր արել վերացնել ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդում վետոյի իրավունքը՝ նշելով, որ ներկայիս համակարգն այլևս չի համապատասխանում ժամանակակից աշխարհի իրողություններին։
“We believe that this institution of permanent membership in the Security Council, as well as the right of veto, are very important elements for the entire structure of the UN. And we maintain our commitment to this extremely important element,” Peskov said.
«Մենք գտնում ենք, որ Անվտանգության խորհրդի մշտական անդամության այս ինստիտուտը, ինչպես նաև վետոյի իրավունքը՝ շատ կարևոր տարրեր են ՄԱԿ-ի ամբողջ կառուցվածքի համար։ Եվ մենք պահպանում ենք մեր հավատարմությունը այս խիստ կարևոր տարրին»,- ասել է Պեսկովը։
