World leaders arrive in New York for the UN General Assembly session

António Guterres will open the UN General Assembly debates for the last time as Secretary-General of the organization. His term ends on December 31, 2026.

US President Donald Trump is one of the first to speak, with French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also scheduled to address the event today.

Trump will hold his first personal meeting with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. A number of bilateral meetings are also planned. Talks have already taken place between the presidents of the US and France, as well as between the presidents of France and Ukraine.
