Armenia was selected as the country of honor for the event titled "Peace, Culture and Universal Values" held in Greece.

According to the press release issued by the embassy, this year Armenia was chosen as the honorary country of the event.

Ինչպես տեղեկանում է դեսպանության տարածած հաղորդագրությունից, այս տարի Հայաստանը ընտրվել է որպես միջոցառման պատվավոր երկիր։

In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan thanked the organizers of the event for the honor and warm attitude shown towards Armenia. He emphasized the importance of peace, dialogue, mutual recognition of cultures and the preservation of universal values, presenting Armenia’s peace agenda, the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, as well as the “TRIPP” program.

Իր ողջույնի խոսքում Հունաստանում ՀՀ դեսպան Տիգրան Մկրտչյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել միջոցառման կազմակերպիչներին՝ Հայաստանի հանդեպ ցուցաբերված պատվի և ջերմ վերաբերմունքի համար։ Նա ընդգծել է խաղաղության, երկխոսության, մշակույթների փոխադարձ ճանաչման և համամարդկային արժեքների պահպանման կարևորությունը՝ ներկայացնելով Հայաստանի խաղաղության օրակարգը, «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» նախաձեռնությունը, ինչպես նաև «ԹՐԻՓՓ» ծրագիրը։

The Ambassador also touched upon the historical friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Armenia and Greece, emphasizing the common values and mutual support that unite the two peoples.

Դեսպանը նաև անդրադարձել է Հայաստանի և Հունաստանի միջև պատմական բարեկամությանը և բազմոլորտ համագործակցությանը՝ ընդգծելով երկու ժողովուրդներին միավորող ընդհանուր արժեքներն ու փոխադարձ աջակցությունը։

Within the framework of the cultural program of the event, Armenian song and dance were presented as an expression of the rich cultural heritage, historical memory and aspiration for peace of the Armenian people.

Միջոցառման մշակութային ծրագրի շրջանակում հայկական երգն ու պարը ներկայացվել են որպես հայ ժողովրդի հարուստ մշակութային ժառանգության, պատմական հիշողության և խաղաղության ձգտման արտահայտություն։

The event was followed by traditional dance performances with the participation of the “Avetis” Armenian dance ensemble and the “Panagia Soumela” Union of the Pontic community of N. Argolida, once again emphasizing the exceptional role of culture in bringing peoples closer and strengthening friendship.

Միջոցառմանը հաջորդել են ավանդական պարային կատարումներ՝ «Ավետիս» հայկական պարային համույթի և Ն. Արգոլիդայի պոնտի համայնքի «Պանագիա Սումելա» միության մասնակցությամբ՝ ևս մեկ անգամ ընդգծելով մշակույթի՝ ժողովուրդներին մերձեցնելու և բարեկամությունն ամրապնդելու բացառիկ դերը։
