Let us recall that a few days ago, the assistant to the president of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, who accompanied representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan to the territories of Artsakh, first distorted the names of the Armenian monasteries of Gandzasar and Dadivank and called them Ganjasar and Khudavenk, and also falsified history, presenting them as “an integral part of the ancient Albanian Christian heritage.” Hajiyev said that Gandzasar was founded in the 13th century by the ruler of Caucasian Albania, Hasan-Jalal, and “during the years of occupation, these monuments were subjected to external interventions under the guise of false “restoration,” which undermined their architectural authenticity and original image.”
