Fr. Mesrob av. priest. Galstanian, congratulating the day on September 21, emphasized that preserving independence is more important and difficult than its achievement and noted that throughout history, the Armenian people, with their united will, have been able to overcome various difficulties and obstacles. He prayed to God Almighty to return the Armenian prisoners illegally imprisoned in Baku prisons to their homeland as soon as possible, to grant the Armenian leadership wisdom to take steps towards realizing the aspirations of the Armenian people, and to preserve and protect the Armenian world under the light of peace.

Տ. Մեսրոպ աւ. քհնյ. Գալստանեանն օրւայ առթիւ իր խօսքում շնորհաւորելով Սեպտեմբեր 21-ի առթիւ՝ ընդգծեց, թէ անկախութեան պահպանումը առաւել կարեւոր եւ դժւար է դրա ձեռքբերումից եւ նշեց, որ պատմութեան ընթացքում հայ ժողովուրդն իր միասնական կամքով կարողացել է յաղթահարել բազմապիսի դժւարութիւններ ու խոչընդոտներ։ Նա աղօթեց առ բարձրեալն Աստւած, որ ինչքան շուտ հայրենիքի գիրկ վերադարձնի Բաքւի բանտերում ապօրինի ազատազրկւած հայ գերիներին, Հայաստանի ղեկավարութեանը իմաստութիւն շնորհի՝ հայ ժողովրդի իղձերի իրականացման ուղղութեամբ քայլ վերցնելու համար եւ խաղաղութեան լոյսի ներքոյ պահի ու պահպանի հայոց աշխարհը։

The celebrant of the day was Rev. Khachatur Zargaryan. Representatives of national bodies and the regional Armenian Cause Committee and the people were present at the liturgy.
