In order to effectively organize forest fire extinguishing operations and ensure the safety of the population, a training exercise was held in the administrative building of the Gegharkunik regional governor's office. The Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service reports this.

The goal of the exercise was to increase the level of preparedness of the participants, improve fire extinguishing and population protection operations, as well as assess the effectiveness of the regional civil defense plan.

According to the scenario, a fire broke out in the forest adjacent to the Noratus settlement of the Gavar community. The participants analyzed the situation, assessed possible risks, discussed ways to mobilize the necessary forces and resources, and studied the information received from intelligence.

The exercise was attended by heads of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service, heads of subdivisions of the regional governor's office, members of the emergency situations and population evacuation committees, representatives of the Gavar community administration and the leadership of the Noratus settlement.
