Meeting with WB representatives

Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Anna Babajanyan and Kristina Tataryan met today with Inga Afanaseva, the World Bank’s Education Program Officer.

ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարի տեղակալներ Աննա Բաբաջանյանն ու Քրիստինա Թաթարյանն այսօր հանդիպել են Համաշխարհային բանկի կրթական ծրագրերի պատասխանատու Ինգա Աֆանասևայի հետ:

The Deputy Ministers welcomed the guests, emphasizing the importance of the World Bank’s partnership support in the reforms in the education sector of the Republic of Armenia.

Նախարարի տեղակալները ողջունել են հյուրերին՝ կարևորելով Համաշխարհային բանկի գործընկերային աջակցությունը ՀՀ կրթության ոլորտի բարեփոխումներում։

During the meeting, the priorities and vision of the new program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the context of the ongoing reforms in the education sector, the main challenges and opportunities of the sector, as well as the directions of cooperation with the World Bank were discussed.

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են ՀՀ կառավարության նոր ծրագրի առաջնահերթություններն ու տեսլականը՝ կրթության ոլորտում շարունակվող բարեփոխումների համատեքստում, ոլորտի հիմնական մարտահրավերներն ու հնարավորությունները, ինչպես նաև Համաշխարհային բանկի հետ համագործակցության ուղղությունները։

Presenting the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the field of general education, Deputy Minister Anna Babajanyan informed that the current stage of the program for the construction, reconstruction and overhaul of 300 schools and 500 preschool educational institutions will be completed by the end of the year. In parallel, the new government program envisages the launch of a new stage of work, where the WB may also have partnership support.

Ներկայացնելով հանրակրթության ոլորտում ՀՀ կառավարության առաջնահերթությունները՝ նախարարի տեղակալ Աննա Բաբաջանյանը տեղեկացրել է՝ 300 դպրոցների և 500 նախադպրոցական ուսումնական հաստատությունների կառուցման, վերակառուցման և հիմնանորոգման ծրագրի ընթացիկ փուլը մինչև տարեվերջ կավարտվի։ Զուգահեռաբար Կառավարության նոր ծրագրով նախատեսվում է աշխատանքների նոր փուլի մեկնարկ, որտեղ ևս ՀԲ-ն կարող է ունենալ գործընկերային աջակցություն։

It was noted that one of the important steps envisaged by the new government program is the development of a separate law "On the Status of Teachers", which is intended to more clearly stipulate both the role and status of teachers, as well as social protection guarantees.

Նշվել է, որ Կառավարության նոր ծրագրով նախատեսվող կարևոր քայլերից է «Ուսուցչի կարգավիճակի մասին» առանձին օրենքի մշակումը, որով նախատեսվում է առավել հստակ ամրագրել ինչպես ուսուցչի դերն ու կարգավիճակը, այնպես էլ սոցիալական պաշտպանության երաշխիքները:

Reference was made to the improvement of teacher certification and continuous professional development systems, the analysis of the results of the PISA international assessment, the effectiveness of in-depth data study in sector reforms and the development of further policies.

Անդրադարձ է եղել ուսուցիչների ատեստավորման և մասնագիտական շարունակական զարգացման համակարգերի կատարելագործմանը, PISA միջազգային գնահատման արդյունքների վերլուծությանը, ոլորտի բարեփոխումներում տվյալների խորքային ուսումնասիրության և հետագա քաղաքականությունների մշակման արդյունավետությանը։

Reference was also made to the establishment of modern laboratories equipped with natural science and engineering equipment in schools, the creation of preschools with the support of the World Bank and the improvement of preschool educational programs.

Անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև դպրոցներում բնագիտական և ինժեներական սարքավորումներով հագեցած ժամանակակից լաբորատորիաների հիմնմանը, Համաշխարհային բանկի աջակցությամբ նախակրթարանների ստեղծմանն ու նախադպրոցական կրթական ծրագրերի բարելավմանը։

Representatives of the World Bank expressed their willingness to continue their support for the reforms implemented in the education sector of the Republic of Armenia. The parties agreed to continue professional dialogue in order to continue cooperation in the direction of the educational priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Համաշխարհային բանկի ներկայացուցիչները պատրաստակամություն են հայտնել շարունակելու աջակցությունը ՀՀ կրթության ոլորտում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին։ Կողմերը պայմանավորվել են շարունակել մասնագիտական երկխոսությունը՝ ՀՀ կառավարության կրթական առաջնահերթությունների ուղղությամբ համագործակցությունը շարունակելու նպատակով։
