Issues related to Armenia-US cooperation in the defense sector were discussed

On September 17, at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense, First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan met with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of War Andrew Loomis. This was reported by the RA Ministry of Defense.

During the meeting, issues related to Armenia-US cooperation in the defense sector were discussed.

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են պաշտպանության ոլորտում ՀՀ-ԱՄՆ համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցեր:

Both sides highly appreciated the current level of cooperation. In particular, the importance of peacekeeping, the training of professional non-commissioned officers, instructors and junior commanders, military education, as well as the development of cooperation in other areas was emphasized.

Երկուստեք բարձր է գնահատվել փոխգործակցության ներկայիս մակարդակը։ Մասնավորապես, կարևորվել է խաղաղապահության, արհեստավարժ սերժանտական կազմի, հրահանգիչների և կրտսեր հրամանատարների պատրաստության, ռազմական կրթության, նաև համատեղ զորավարժությունների ու վարժանքների անցկացման և այլ ուղղություններով համագործակցության զարգացումը։

Andrew Loomis noted that the US will continue cooperation within the framework of current programs and is ready to discuss opportunities for deepening cooperation in new areas.

Էնդրյու Լումիսը նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն կշարունակի համագործակցությունն ընթացիկ ծրագրերի շրջանակում և պատրաստ է քննարկելու նոր ուղղություններով փոխգործակցության խորացման հնարավորությունները։
