Operations targeting LGBTİ+ people are dragging Turkey down a “dark path”
European Parliament Turkey Rapporteur Nacho Sánchez Amor described the nationwide wave of detentions and raids targeting LGBTİ+ organizations and activists as a “shocking escalation of repression.” Saying that the “imposition of a moral agenda” constitutes a clear violation of fundamental rights, Amor stated that Turkey is being dragged down a “dark path.”
